Dunlop Fin Picks

I actually have a few of these, but don't know what they're for. For what purpose does the unique shape serve?

i have no idea. i used to have some of them when i was a teenager and just started to play cause they were cool as hell. other than the fact they look like a sharkfin, i dont really like em but they do give you a variety of picking surfaces

That's the only pick I use, the yellow one. The larger round end I use for jazzier picking when I want a full tone, the pointy end I use for strumming, & the little teeth are good fear bright, scrape-y tone. They are also useful for getting lots of harmonics.

I'll also use my index & ring fingers for hybrid picking. Sometimes I palm the pick & just use my fingers.
