ive found that all the dunlop/mxr pedals ive bought have become complete let downs. theyre too subtle and seem hide behind the signal, if that makes any sense. the carbon copy, rotovibe, wahs. anyone else notice this?

and tone sucking... as well

Re: dunlop pedals

I returned an mxr stereo chorus for that reason... nice tone, but a bit too subtle for what I wanted at the time, and it wasn't a cheap chorus.

The only mxr I have on my board is an original mid-70's dyna comp. In the closet are mxr mid-70's gray flanger (which works well but is a bit noisy, it's ac powered), an original analog delay (green, also ac powered), and original yellow distortion.

Re: dunlop pedals

I use a Microamp and Carbon Copy in my lead patch. I don't find either too subtle, and I use a switcher/router so tone sucking unless the sucking occurs with the effect engaged is not an issue.
