Ok guys, I literally joined this forum, because noone else on any other site can give me a solid answer. I am trying to wire my 57 duo sonic like a jagstang, so that I can get all the fantastic phasing sounds. HERES THE PROBLEM.
The jagstang uses two on-off-on slide switches witch have 8 poles. They won't both fit in the 57 body. One would fit in the place where the 3 way toggle would be originally. The other would not fit in the route leading to the neck pup.
Ok, no problem, right? Just get some mini toggles.
WRONG man, wrong.
These toggles both fit, but only have 6 poles on them. Well, I drew up a diagram that would almost mirror the jagstangs wiring, minus the "extra" two poles on the slide switches.
My results are as this: on-off-on in the neck pickup works, but I cannot tell
a significant difference between the two "on"
positions, if any, at all.
on-off-on in the bridge position works on one "on" position, the middle work I guess, as It should turn off the pup, and produce no sound at all, but then the other "on" side on the toggle, literally kills everything so their is no sound, not even a buzzing issue for a ground...
If you have any information that could help me out, please give me your input!
Here is a link to the drawings I made, and another thread I have going.
This has all the drawings I made up to the "t". If you find time, please take a look!
