Hello,
I've just found an ad by a local guy, he has an E-MU 0404 soundcard for sale for a very good price, CD's, accessories, softwares included. Is E-MU stuff good quality? I haven't found much info with the Search function.
He wants ~$110, it costs about ~$150 new here. Having browsed through EMU's website, I think I'll rather buy a 1212M v2. It costs more but I think it'll be worth in the long run. I need at least two balanced outs, furthermore the 1212 has less noise than the 0404. Not that I'd notice the difference on a two- or three-track recording...
Phase 88, you mean this one? Looks like a monster soundcard! Congrats and good luck!

The bassist of my band has this card card and we did the recordings for the demo cd on his pc. We sometimes recorded 4-5 tracks at the same time and he had only a AMD XP 2200+ and everything went smooth. But it's a lot of money and I don't know if the card has everything you need.
Well, I bought a 1212M v2... Patchmix will be difficult to learn but I'll be able to handle everything in one place with the right inputs at last (I also have a Toneport and a MIDI keyboard).
