I have a Burny LP that's acquired a monsterous earth buzz.
Touching and letting go of the strings makes hardly any difference, the only way I can get rid of it is to grasp the cable jack and wrap my hand round it.
I've had the guitar open, nothing has come loose. I thought the problem was with the wire from the selector switch to the ground on the socket, so replaced it....no difference.
Problem is the same on both pickups, so I'm sure it's not a pickup issue.
I've read many posts in different forums on this kind of issue, totally lost!
Any ideas please?
