My ebay listing. Here's the info:
I'm selling an Alnico II Pro Staggered Neck/Bridge model pickup, generic Stratocaster pickguard, three 250k pots, and tone capacitor.
I had bought this as a loaded pickguard with pickups, but used the neck and middle on a project guitar. The bridge pickup is unused and should still work.
The pickguard seems to be a generic white pickguard with some shielding. No pick marks: it's essentially brand new, just handled a bit.
The three pots are clean and should work. There's a small amount of wiring left in place, and a tone capacitor as well (not sure what rating).
I own a Lite Ash Stratocaster, and I love it. My soundclick page is http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=590218. I have this same pickup in the bridge of mine, and you can listen to the many sound clips I have of this guitar. Essentially, my Lite Ash Stratocaster is my main guitar, and I love it to death. I'd get another if mine broke, seriously.
This model pickup sounds beautiful! Think of using a standard stratocaster on a twin reverb amp, but with the EQ at all 5's. Now switch to this pickup. You have to lower the bass and mids down to 3 or else these frequencies get boomy. The pickup is still vintage output (~7k ohms) and vintage sound (due to alnico ii magnets), but much warmer than a stock Stratocaster pickup. It's still got the single coil bite and brightness, just a bit tamer.
Feel free to ask me any questions you want! No reserve. Also, no returns at all, period. Shipping insurance is required. I'm just an average Joe, yet I've got a 100% satisfaction rating because I'll tell you anything and everything you want to know about this bid before you bid on it, and because if I'm selling it, I'm sure it works. I'm selling this to finance my next guitar project, otherwise I'd use it. These pickups rock, and Seymour Duncan quality and sound is legendary. Want to know how this pickup would probably sound? Try out a Lite Ash Stratocaster or Lite Ash Telecaster: they're great guitars!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, comes with two white tone knobs. All three pots have the mounting washers and nuts, in case you can't see them in the picture.
Take care!
