Re: Ebay fraud??? Report worthy?
So here is his response...
Well, it's real. eBay has killed the item because the "buyer" is reporting his account as hacked. I presume that the second guy ($2000) is hacked too. He was in Belgium anyway, so he didn't even get the second chance offer.
I understand that you have no reason to trust me.
Honestly, I'm the victim here - you put these things up on auction and you're at the mercy of whoever wants to screw around with you. I really just want this bass gone by Christmas. Speaking of which, have a merry one!
I agree the whole thing stinks. For what it's worth, eBay can follow up the IP addresses of the bidders and say with moderate certainty that I didn't do it.
Also, you're right - noone's going to offer $2000 for an ordinary 1987 Fender Jazz Bass. So what's in it for me to coordinate this grand scheme? If there's a potential pot of gold ("if it hadn't been for you meddling kids") at the end of the scam, I'm having trouble seeing how it would work.
KO
It seems like you're right. I told him I would buy the bass if he could take some pictures of it in a different setting so I know he owns it. Thanks for the help bros!!!
