Ebay pick guard

Re: Ebay pick guard

The odds are slim.

Budget scratchplates tend to have their screw holes ever so slightly out of alignment with the genuine article.

IMO, budget scratchplates (including the ones Fender uses on some Squier models) look "wrong". The ratio of MOTO to white and black will be incorrect or the edge bevel is the wrong angle. Fussy baskets like me can spot this right away.

Finally, when using eBay, I always assume that any item from Hong Kong, Singapore, Eastern Europe or the former Soviet Union is a scam.

Dig deep for the real thing. You will never regret it.

You also have to think it's gonna take about a month to get to you.

I'd throw down a little more scratch to get a waaaaaay better product and way quicker shipping.

I'm gonna I just figured if I could get it cheaper I might as well do it.

Re: Ebay pick guard

It'll probably fit over your pickups, but I'm guessing that you're going to be drilling new screw holes. That in itself isn't a really big deal (at least it's not to me), but even a retrofit pickguard made for that same exact model doesn't always have holes that line up. If you like it, get it. Hell, you're only out a bottle of wine, roughly..
