I'm talking price/concept-wise; what big G actually puts out that you see in a store is a whole different thing, as we all know. I've no doubt that Ed's axe is impeccably made. Of course it's mean to compete, and, judging by your impression, slay. It's a guitar eat guitar world out there :).

Yet, you're just one guy/hobbyist, not a large corporation :). In the end, if you pay for it, it's worth it to you.

That's correct: I'm just a one guy shop. I have absolutely no intention of going 'big'. I simply don't have the time to side-track my other jobs to go fulltime into building. Nonetheless, I do wish to offer guitars at an almost ridiculous pricepoint that can compete with 'the big bobo's'.

I just want to add that the popularity of this thread has intensified the severity of my fight with SixStringSamurai and that **** is about to get real.

Looks like a copy of the old Washburn USA WM-4 with a thicker top horn.
Here is the 99 WM-4 I had at one time. Bet the Washburn will give the EVH a real run in materials tone and playability!!

I'll definitely vouch for that. A buddy of mine had one years ago and it was a scary good player.
