EHX Freeze problem

My EHX freeze does not work properly if placed after distortion. I need to hold the note for like 8 seconds then the pedal freezes something which does not sound good. It work perfect with a clean signal though.
Has anyone experience this problem?

Have you tried it in the loop or if you are getting you distortion from a pedal before that pedal?

I didn't think this worked very well after the distortion...

I get distortion from a pedal.
Because of this I have moved the Freeze at the beginning of the chain and actually sounds less 'digital' like this, but I'm not quite sure if I like it there yet.

How bout in your effects loop?
