Found a couple good deals on EL34's.

$35 for a matched duet of Ruby EL34B STR's.
Better yet, $58 for a matched quad.
Still better, there is a 10% coupon code.
Free shipping too.

Deal is at Woodwind and Brasswind. 10% off coupon code is WELCOMEW10

They also have Svetlana EL34's for $29 for a matched duet but only for the Hard/Blue duet.

I don't know Jol. They don't seem to show as sale items or specials at WW&BW so maybe they are always that price but Music 123 shows them as a special purchase item. Music 123 and WW&BW are the same place, with the same prices but Music 123 didn't give the free shipping and the coupon is for WW&BW. I'm sure the coupon has an expiration date. They are also sold through Amazon by the same retailers at the same price, but cant use the 10% coupon.

I normally buy through a small dealer because replacement isn't a hassle if a tube is bad. These are listed as no return but the RUBY's carry a 6 month guarantee. Probably more of a hassle to get a replacement if there is a problem as it may have to go directly through Ruby/Magic Parts. But, price is hard to pass up.

They also have the Ruby 6L6 STR for $50 for a quad. $35 for a pair.

Here are some of the links:

It's the normal price. Same price as GC and MF but with GC or MF coupons are for 15% usually. You can also use Mr Rebates for another 5% cash back.

You're right. Damn. A cheap bastard like myself should have found the lowest price before now. I never check those big retailers for tubes because I always buy from the tube sellers who make it easy to swap if you get a bad tube, and who do their own testing, burn in and matching ... supposedly ( but I'm always skeptical of whether they test tubes like those relabeled by Ruby and TAD).

Thanks for the heads up.
