Electric Classical

Re: Electric Classical

Serious props for using the kasha bracing system :friday:. I assume you're familiar with Boaz Elkayam's guitars, which use this pattern too.

Does the classical have this bracing too or traditional fan?

No the classical has a more traditional bracing system, just getting a bit adventurous I suppose, its fun though.

I will be very interested to see how they turn out and check the differences.

The guy's work gives me a boner. I really mean it. I look at his guitars and my penis begins to engorge with blood. His work is that awesome.

Aceman, what do you think would happen if you ever got the chance to place one of his beauties on your lap, let alone play it?

^^ Be rendered comatose by the awesomeness?

Some shots of the wares from a trade show I (and other forum bros) went to a few years ago.

Re: Electric Classical

If I ever win the lottery, one of my calls is going to be to J Blacklund, and the other is to Peter. Not necessarily in that order.

Re: Electric Classical

There are at least 3 or 4 ... oh heck, 5 or 6 Crossleys I'd buy in a heartbeat if I had the bucks.

Re: Electric Classical

Gee...

Thanks guys...

Where's the blushing emoticon?

just a brief rundown..

Guitar is sprayed fully, just waiting the reqiured 2 weeks + for the nitro to settle before the fun part sets in...

and hey...

Truly...

Thank you so much for the kind words..

Its a very tough game this..

Playing up against the Big corporates is a hard, often thankless job..

But its what I love doing..

and I will keep doing it...

and keep poor...

Thanks again,

you guys are awesome, and it helps in a big way to know that this stuff is valid,

Cheers

Pete

And THIS is what is sooo evident in all of your guitars. Your love and passion for art, perfection, and guitar making is what makes your guitars stand out so dramatically.

Believe me, I know how emotionally difficult it is to have such passion, and to try to make it financially trying to satisfy that passion.

But no one could ever complain about the cost of your creations (they are worth every penny)...only their own ability to afford them.

Keep up the (very) good work, Peter. And don't be such a stranger to the forum.

Re: Electric Classical

^^ If the Australian dollar continues to tank, you could get quite a deal, Ace.

The guitar that we played that day was this one: http://crossleyguitars.com/gall43.html. Speaks for itself.

I remember playing the Purple one , top right.
Absolutely wonderfull to play, loved the neck profile and hated the fact that I will probably never be able to afford one.

Peter, your truly a master craftsman when it comes to guitar building.:cool2:

Re: Electric Classical

Glueing the neck onto the second one,

This is a steel stringer, with the Kasha bracing system..

Rosewood sides, sitka top, quilt maple back
