i am so tempted to get one to muck around with. any experience with electric violins forum bros?

I have a friend that plays an electric violin made by Wood Violins. The thing sounds great, and the flying V body shape, is very comfortable. I believe the website is www.woodviolins.com

DUDE, that´s the same link I was about to post. :beerchug:

I played one (badly) at the FF Musikmesse like 12 years ago or so, and it prompted me to order one just to see if it sold.....Took a bit, but was one of the finest Instrument´s I´ve ever seen bar none. Mark Wood is not only a musical genius, but he most certainly understands what E-violinists want.

the violinist im my band plays a Zeta 5 string midi violin, www.zetamusic.com, and it sounds and looks absolutely gorgeous. we do some Mahavishnu Orchestra stuff, and it is perfect for that.

My friend has a 6 string wood violin and I must say it is super badass, sounds awesome with distortion too, lol.

Speaking of which...

mark wood's viper is gonna cost me an arm and leg! i am actually looking at a low end e.violin such as fender's fv-1 to experiment with.

but dang! those vipers are nice!
