Is that coating they put on Elixir strings only on the wound strings? What about the plain strings?

All of them are coated

I think are Elixirs are really good -my second favorite, but my favorite coated are Diaddario EXPs because of the sound.

I think EB Everlast are complete trash.

Last set was 8 months ago, so I guess. Don't care to spend the $ again. I figured out that I don't particularly like coated strings.
