ELPI capcacitor INFO

Hi guys,

This is my first thread here, and I really hope that somebody could help me.

I bought a couple of capacitors, like the one that is show in the attached pic.
The brand is ELPI, they are PIO but I can't find any other information about them. My question is if I can use them in my guitar, what to you think? Some help would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: ELPI capcacitor INFO

Well, 47500pf = 47,5n = 0.0475µ = one of the values generally used for tone caps.

So, if the housing of this cap tells the truth, yes, you can use it as a tone cap in a guitar. :-)

Re: ELPI capcacitor INFO

Those are nice Russian PIOs .047s @1%.
They made them in silver and green.
I have some of these in .022.
Very smooth and velvet like but a little muddy in the neck. I switched to a .015 in the neck.
.047 would be more for a Strat or Super Strat type.
