Emg foam

Hey all, I just got a EMG dg-20 set and I’m trying to find the foam to separate the battery from the circuit. It doesn’t look like there is any. Could I do the install without the foam?

Do you have any foam from a Duncan pickup package? At least wrap it in electrical tape to insulate it, I think there are exposed solder points on the back of the circuit board that could short.
 
ive always used whatever is around if the battery is in the control cavity. these days i block the trem and put the battery where the trem springs would go on a strat.

The extra routing on the Clapton Strat tremolo cavity was cool. Just enough to tuck a 9V in without being seen with the cover on.
 
its nice cause you dont have to take the strings and pickguard off to change the battery
