EMG H single coil in humbucker shell test

I got my EMG H in the mail today and she's ready to go. It's a single coil in a humbucker casing. Sounds dang good. These were recorded with a boss ME30 direct into nuendo. You get the basic jist. First is chords, then jazzy strat stuff, then gainy. It is in the neck position and the playing is not good, but I wasn't trying so ignore that, and if it's distorting, it's the ME30 or comp. not hte pickup.

P.S. At the end is also switching between the 85 and the H for comparison. In a basswood schecter damien 6 covered with furrrrrr.

Cleans sound ****ing amazing...

Distortion sounds like ****, as it's a neck pickup .


We need some lead samples!!!!

MMMMM taaaystay... Those were some freaky jangly cleans.

I'm still trying to imagine someone playing a fur schecter doing that...

Since we're talking EMG tone, I figured I'd record a clean thing to go with this.

First was toned-down slightly clean, then distortion...then tone all the way open clean then distortion.
