no. no they are not any good. they will not get you anywhere NEAR an active pickup, and will still sound crappier than most passives. if you want the EMG sound (which isnt that great, imo) then get the real EMG's. either way, stay clear of the hz's

yeah and me too!
i dont know what guys who say the H4 sucks are smoking but trust me
it is a great pup! these things are $75 new!
under the cover is two large blades and a ceramic magnet
tonally it is like a duncan DD but tighter.
it has the DD roar without a doubt.
and alexi gets a friggin great tone from his as well:beerchug:
FYI he uses the H4 instead of the active 81 since it has a lighter output than the 81.
