Did I need this? Absolutely not. I've seen it on my local craigslist for a few months and threw out a very low price that the seller took.

Yes, it's an Epiphone made in China but it's pretty freakin awesome. Matte black. Legit MOP & abalone inlays with lightning bolts. The gold hardware is all matte as well which looks rad. I'm going to give the Pau Ferro board a bit of a darkening using Monty's stuff and then pass it along to whoever wants to buy it next.

One other pretty amazing thing that I'm not sure I've ever seen before is that it has a layer of binding kind of inlaid down the sides of the fretboard. All in all, incredibly classy for a guitar at this pricepoint.

right? I dig it. 2 volumes, 1 tone.

CTS pots in there too which is pretty sweet for a china guitar.

no clue who Emily Wolfe is either but I like her style.

That's a gorgeous guitar. Singer, songwriter, and guitarist based out of Austin, TX. I've heard her name around here but hadn't heard anything from her. From what I understand she's pretty darn good.

Sweet lookin guitar. What pickups? How's it sound?

Guild does that extra inlaid binding on the fretboard also. My Guild acoustic 12-string has that.

Epiphone Alnico 2's I believe?

It's actually pretty great. It is a log though. Crazy heavy and resonant.

I wonder if YT peeps are wondering why they're getting so many Emily Wolfe searches in the past week? :headbang:

Honestly, I didn't know who she was, either. Hard to tell these days if a signature artist is putting out killer music and doing awesome shows, or just has a lot of followers out there.

Cool score; they also make this model in white, which looks not too shabby either.

Fyi, the CTS pots they use in everything are linear taper 25% +/-.

Yes indeed, the laurel fretboard needs a bit of Monty's :D; they seem to vary a lot, some very light, my SG is on par with typical r/w.
