so yeah i have been messing around with recording silently using my palmer and my engl invader and i have been getting some cool sounds with that, this is my first attempt at a mix with this and i like it so far, obviously there is always room for improvement and its a very different mix in a lot of ways from what im normally doing but i like the way its sounding so far!

I like the ambient tones in contrast with the heavy stuff. definitely some of your better work!

im using my ebmm jp7, its a pre d-sonic model, so it has that custom dimarzio that isnt made anymore.

The first tone sounds better ,more life in it.The second one sounds tighter and more rounded!
The first one fits the song perfect.I love the dynamics..Great sound!

I think the first seems closer in terms of mixing to your previous work. The second sounds like the highs are a bit more rounded off. I like both to be honest, I would say whichever fits the mood of the song better overall. Other than that, I think you have your sound! Just as heavy and "djenty" as the POD, but without that twang and the odd darkness of the tone. Best sound I have ever heard using a palmer. Now, re-record all of your past clips. LOL. Seriously.

Dude ,your reiatsu grows without end ,and as suislid says ,i really dig your new tone.Engl is one of my Fav amps anyways ,and i dig brighter tones...Your sound is more impressive than ever ,and your riffing shines more and more...So whaddayawantmore?

Liked the first one a lot more. I would maybe think a more casual listener might not even hear (or at least know they're hearing) those single notes over the rhythm on the second verson, they're much quiter. You didn't by chance order a crazy 8 with everyone else did you? Would have loved to hear your plaing through one of those....I think that pickup would be more than fitting for this style of music.

Where have you been Wendell? If it doesnt come in 7 or 8 string versions, it probably isnt metal enough. :headbang:

wendell: im a little confused by what you are saying regarding the pickup exactly, but yeah i did get a custom 8 stringer done, but it has a lundgren m8 in it (amazing pickup!)

oh yeah and since i couldnt decide on which clip sounded better i updated the soundclick with a clip i liked even better than both haha, better drums as well!
