Epi Black Beauty soundclips

I just did these. Go easy, I only just downloaded the backing tracks this morning for something to noodle over and there's mistakes and stuff but hopefully it gives an idea of what the pickups sound like.
One is with the '59 neck, one with the Alnico II Pro bridge. Done with my Toneport. Again I'll say how surprised I was at how hot the Alnico II is, both these pups are great, can't wait to hear the Phat Cat on its own!

Oh BTW if anyone knows a good FREE Wma - mp3 converter can they gimme a link?

Re: Epi Black Beauty soundclips

The a2 Pro sounds fantastic. It sounds warm, makes the 59 sound a little cold and mid scooped. It seems to handle distortion better too. Dude you're right about that Tone Port.

Yeah the Toneport is cool. It IS a bit fizzy like Daemon said, but for the price, and ease of use, and versatility, I think it's great.
If I get some time I'll try and record a proper song with the guitar.

Nice clips bro

for a converter I use CDex I downloaded it somewhere- it's free- Someone here recco'ed it a couple years back- Google is your friend :)

The AP2 bridge is really nice sounding IMO- everyone drools over the AP2 neck, and it *is* very nice, but I feel the AP2 bridge is a better bridge pup than the AP2 neck is at being a neck pickup. The only issue is can get a little tubby on the low for riffing or things that need a bit more articulation. But it's a very nice PAF tone. I've had a ton of 59Ns over the years and just don't gel with them anymore(tastes have changed), but they work really well for certain things.
