Epi DOT came today!!!!

I got an Epi DOT studio today from fedex man what a great guitar!!!! I had to adjust the trustrod , intonation, and the string height down lower with no fret buzz its a great day!! lol. I like the tone of this guitar even with the stock Alnico classic hums not bad sounding pickups with some adjustments. I lowered the bridge down away from strings a little and raised the pole pieces and I got a nice clear crisp sound from it. Neck hum I just rasided it a tad towards strings no muddy at all. I'll keep these in for awhile and probably go with some kind of vinatge to med gain P/U's maybe a pair of Pearly's or Whole Lotta's something like that. 59's may be a good choice for a semi hollow. This is my first ever semi and I love it. Now I have a Peavey Predator strat/Les Paul/and the DOT times are great!!! Just wanted to share with all you guitar peeps Im stoked!!!

I think that Epiphone Dots are very underrated. With a pickup change they're great playing, great sounding guitars for dirt cheap.

I like yours much better than my Epi ES-335 Pro. I bought it used because it was a really good price, and it is just boring old "Ebony". Beautiful guitar man!

Yeah they actually do sound really great together!! The semi hollow and the Les Paul sound freakin awesome through that bandit. I recently put an Eminence CV-75 speaker in that bandit WOW man what a blazing difference. And with my tube overdrive pedal its even more amazing!!! That other amp is a little practice 12 watt hybrid amp. That actually sounds really nice with the Epi DOT guitar.

I think the Dot is a great value. Nice, tman.

I'm locking the wallet until I can swing a Godin Montreal Premiere. Still, it will have to be a minty used/demo or maybe when they get discontinued.

Very cool! Just had one of those for a bit. Fun to play, nice neck and a great value - I loved the look of the Red Body/Neck w/Black Binding.
