Epi Les Paul vs LTD EC-1000

I know a lot of comparisions have already been made to the EC-1000 but, I'm comparing it to a Musicians Friend Epi Les Paul custom model. It has REAL Gibson 490R/498T pups and a skull crossbone graphic. And it's only $600.00. It doesn't seem to be a bad deal. Also what would the nut be made out of on that guitar? And how does this guitar compare to the LTD EC-1000?

I would go with the Gibson, I have heard too many times about EC-1000's going out of tune when bending notes. I have even experienced first hand.:smack:
I'm not Anti-ESP, but personally havn't had good experience with that guitar. I know the nut on that LTD is Earvana, dunno bout the other one.

Is the ESP model the one that comes with an SD JB/Jazz set and the TonePros locking bridge? If so, go for the ESP.

The nut on the Epi will most likely be plastic.
