Epiphone does it again!

BloodRose

Professional Scapegoat
First, Epiphone seems to be making some pretty good guitars these days. Second, they have been making some killer signature guitars.. Im not normally big on signature guitars as I dont like looking like a fan boi, nor do I like having another artists name, decorations, etc on my guitar.. However, they have been putting out some cool ones lately.. I love the new Tommy Thayer Explorer. The Brent Hinds V and now....
They are coming out with a Richie Faulkner V. Floyd Rose, EMGs 57 and 66

Yep got a 1960 L.P Tribute Plus a couple of weeks ago. It is a fine guitar. Sounds great, feels great, price is great.

Re: Epiphone does it again!

I've a couple €pi guitars.
A '99 Joe Pass and a '17 Les Paul Special 1- P90's.
Stock P90's are great worth the price of the guitar.

Sweet!

And this isn't too shabby either...

Re: Epiphone does it again!

I like everything but the pickguard... But that's personal taste. I bet that thing rips.

Re: Epiphone does it again!

I got the 2015 Joe Bonamassa LP. I thought I wouldn't care for it when I heard about it, but I picked it up in the store and it destroyed. I've never liked Burstbuckers, but they worked just fine in my Bonamassa.

Yeah, I like that one too, except I hear it has a fat neck.. I especially like that aside from the truss cover, (which is an easy swap) the only thing that really marks it as a sig model is on the back..

I recall Rob Chapman describing the neck on that guitar as "gigantic".
It's a 50s profile apparently. I'd have it anyway because come on, that thing is pure sex.

The neck isn't any fatter than my....nevermind. :naughty:

Yeah, still tempting, cuz I really like the guitar.... But, I wouldnt enjoy playing it cuz of the neck.. Always struggle with big necks, and now Im fighting carpal tunnel, so even worse..

Re: Epiphone does it again!

I love Judas Priest and think Richie Faulkner is a hell of a guitarist. However, isn't it a bit too early to call him "legendary lead guitarist for Judas Priest"? I can think of two other guys that might deserve that title.

Yeah, a bit cheeky on their wording. I feel like they meant to say something about the band being legendary and botched the wording.

Re: Epiphone does it again!

Epiphone's got a new Bonamassa Flying V coming out. It's a '58 Korina model with a black pickguard. It's a replica of a Gibson that was bought from this mom and pop shop in Indianapolis. It looks really cool and has a raised Epiphone logo in gold on the headstock. Funny thing is, it's getting a lot of hate on Epi's FB page, as well as Joe himself. People are criticizing him for saying some thing to the effect of real guitarists not needing pedals, and for not actually using his Epi models on stage.

Personally I could separate myself from the fact that it's a Bonamassa model and just like it for what it is.
