Anyone have any experience with these?

Epiphone Galaxie 10 class A tube amp

All tube, class A operation. In my power range and at $200, right at my price point.

Almost seems too cheap.

Check HC. I wouldnt mind tryin it, but I jus dont have 200 bucks to blow on something I *might* like.

I read a bunch of reviews on the Galaxy 10 and 25 and everyone seems to have a complaint with an inherent hissing noise when the amp is turned up above 3 or 4. It's the reason I passed on it. :22:

Boy, you're right. The reviews over at HC weren't very good. People were struggling to say anything nice about it, and even those who did, recommended changing both the speaker and tubes! :saeek:

I believe I'll make like a capacitor - and bypass on this one. :laugh2:
