Epiphone gurus......what's this?

I ran across this today. I guessing it's like 30's or 40's by the told history of the guitar.
No "Epiphone" on the front of the head, just one the back, seems to be stamped in? No serial #, "trade mark registered".
I'm not having luck finding an age of this guitar.

Looks like an old New York-made, possibly pre-war, Blackstone. I really don't know all the years they were made, but I do own a 1948 Blackstone like that one. Mines natural finish. The early Epiphones had a screw on badge on the headstock (like what you see on the cheapy WildKats now), not an inlay . Are there screw hole patterns on the front of the headstock?

That is....awesome!

Makes me sad that they went from that kind of wood and craftsmanship to plastic coated mystery wood and pot metal in this day and age.

Can't hardly buy a tv tray for 60 bucks. LOL It still plays decent. My daughter likes it, it was her great grandmothers. Doesn't really matter what its worth, just thought maybe.........

Is there a label in the upper f-hole? If so, what color is the label and what is the model and serial number?

FYI - a pre-war Epiphone archtop can fetch around $3K-$5k if there are no cracks or repairs in the wood.

EDIT - the split F-holes, no binding, and the narrow body and bridge placement look like a pre-1935 Epiphone Olympic. (also see their earliest example here.)

beaubrummels is correct - the guitar appears to be a c. 1932 Epiphone Olympic. In the pic there is an oval label visible through the f-hole - the serial number should be stamped in the wood next to it. Can you read it?
These early Epi Olympic archtops are great and pretty sought after.
