Epiphone Jr vs Gibson.

I have an epi lp junior that I recently put a JB in. I forgot I had the guitar for at least a year and thought "Well, I guee I can use it as a beater."

But let me tell you, this thing is resonant and loud unplugged. After I put the Jb in there it is a straight forward rock machine. The single pickup makes you focus more on technique to achieve the tones you want.

My question is this: Is there really a big difference in quality between the epi and gibson juniors?

To me, juniors are all about not giving a duck and just wanting to rock out for cheap, Gibson or Epiphone. I'd honestly say they're in the same ballpark.

I actually think a lot of "tonewood" arguments are bull. My favorite guitar that I can garuntee that I will play over any high end guitar has an oak body and single humbucker (wth a single volume knob and Floyd Rose). I LOVE complex wirings, but this guitar just has it, and is believe-it-or-not, my most versatile guitar by far.

Jerry Cantrell's G&L Rampage has always looked so cool to me, and that's why I built Amira, my number one guitar that I just mentioned.

I actually liked it best with either the Custom Custom or Pearly Gates. I do love the look of stained oak more than Mahogany any day (See for yourself^^^).
