Epiphone Les Paul dry looking fretboard???

Re: Epiphone Les Paul dry looking fretboard???

I use mineral oil, cheap and works great- slather it on the board, rub it in a bit, let it sit for a few minutes or so, then vigorusly rub the board with a clean cloth to pick up any excess. An old luthier showed me that.

i took a razor blade and GENTLY scraped the layer of crap off the fretboard, and then rubbed olive oil on each fret. let soak in, then repeat. worked great.
