A Hamer would be GREAT!!!! I would also recomend an Agile LP over an epiphone!!!!

My Epi LP Custom is an awesome guitar! It plays sooooo smooth! Sounds great too with a '59/JB set in there.
However I did noticed some flaws on this particular one, fretbuzz on the 12th fret and a little crack in the finish near the neck heel. Aside from that, this guitar was well made and has a Gotoh bridge and tuning pegs. I checked inside all the cavities, looks like all mahogany to me, haven't seen anything that looks like alder in there...
So be carefull when getting an Epi, make shure to check it completely for flaws and play it unplugged to see if the body resonates. (Though it probably will with the massive routing on the inside)
