Epiphone LP wiring harnesses that doesn't require modifications of pot holes?

I've been looking at various wiring harnesses for Epi LPs that all uses pots that require widening the pot holes to fit the new pots. Is this necessary after Epiphone started to use CTS pots? This would be for a newer Custom or Standard.

It's the other way round. Metrics are a tad smaller (6mm Vs 6.35 mm) You just need pots with metric shafts for example with Japanese and European pots.

I think CTS also offers metric shafts as an option. But it's not worth the hassle. Buy a reamer and get it done.
