Epiphone Traditional Pro...anyone play'em?

I fell is LOVE with a wine Gibson TP a few weeks ago, and then last night I come across the Epiphone version. I have NEVER wanted an Epi Les Paul ever again because I could never get used to the headstock (I know, I know) but from the vids I've seen and heard, I amazingly like the sound of the guitar and I love the looks. Haven't had a chance to pick one up and play it yet. Is it really all that and more? How does it compare with an Agile for those who have played both? I have an Agile AL-2000. A real sweetie by the way.

Really? Nobody has even picked one up in the store? I'll be on the road tomorrow, so maybe I'll stop into GC on the way home and check them out.

I played one of these at a GC a few weeks ago, and I was pretty impressed. It felt great, sounded great, and had really nice fit and finish. I thought it was quite a bit better than my Korean LPC from 2003. I've not tried any Agiles.

So I'm really gonna G.A.S. up if I go look at one tomorrow? I've been thinking of selling the BC Rich doubleneck I bought because it is sooooo heavy. Maybe I'll get one of these. We'll see. Gotta let the g.a.s. subside first.

They look interesting. Are they the ones with A2 mags and a push-pull for coil cut? Price is reasonable. Could be tempting...

I don't know if they are A2, but they do have the push-pull volumes and the results are really nice. The action felt good; this one was at GC and it was a little high and it felt like 10s on the guitar. The pickups I thought were pretty sweet. I played through a Line 6 Spider IV and tired of that really quick, then plugged into an Egnator Tweaker where it sounded killer. I doubt I would change the pickups. The matte finish on the back is really cool imo, and the finish for a $499 guitar is more than acceptable. Didn't feel any sharp, high, low frets, and no buzz. They only had one in stock, so I didn't get to see if the pickups sound this good on more than one, but if they were all this nice, I could get over that hideous headstock pretty quickly.
