You mean the combos you can buy NEW for $150?

You've been ripped off, my man.

My experience is that the combo is thin and buzzy (probably due to the tiny speaker) and has a grounding problem that produces a lot of hum.

I LOVE the head tho. For the money you're spending, you could have gotten the head and the 1x12 combo that sounds a lot better than the 8 inch combo.

EDIT: i just noticed that it's a modded combo, but all they did was fix the ground problem and make it so you can switch from 8ohm to 4ohm...the Head comes with the ground problem solved, and has inputs for 4, 8, and 16 ohm. for what it's worth.

I agree. I think you overpaid. I got the head for $99 and heavily modified it with gain knob, boost switch and bright switch. If you dig 18watt type tones the modded head is pretty sweet

lol... Oh well, ya spose that mod was worth $50? We're always getting ripped off on gear prices here (Ireland) anyway, so f**k it, nothing new! ;-)

I think you're going to love it, especially with the mod. You can't put a price on tonal satisfaction.

Paying $50 too much because you live in Ireland is a drop in the bucket. Take the price of your favorite gear, divide it by the years you've owned it, and then analyze value.

Ahh, you paid too much so what. Put it behind you. The amp is nice. I have a week on my Valve Junior head, and couldnt be much happier. Man its sweet.
Paired with a wharehouse guitar V30 copy it rocks. Still not broken in yet, but sounds better every time.
