EQ in effects loop

Finally tried the EQ pedal in the fx loop instead of out front in the chain. It's way, way better in the loop! This thing sounds like a million bucks now and I love it. For anyone that hasn't tried it, do it now. Now, I say!

Hmm...interesting...I always thought those things sounded better in front of the amp but, hey, going off the beaten path has its rewards!

You need to sniper mod that thing while you're at it.

i've always put my EQ pedal in the loop of my flextone, when i decide to use it. not only does it sound better there, but it's wayyyyyy quieter.

Sniper mod your GE-7.

It looks wicked when you do it too. Sort of matte black color with the EQ knobs in white. The Tone-Jam site is down or I'd link to that so HC will have to do for now...

I'd rather use one in the loop but with my Plexi it seemed to add more extraneous noise and made it more likely to generate parasitic oscillation. That might be because it was a cheaper Behringer one though...

I have the Behringer one too, and it's been just great so far, especially for the price of it.

I thought the FX loop was the de facto place to drop an EQ.
