EQ Questions

Hi Guys
If I have a multi effects unit, eg. Boss ME 70, and am using the EQ on the multi effects unit and running it straight into the front end of my amp, do I have to use the EQ settings on the multi effects unit on the amp as well? Or should I leave the Treble, Middle and Bass on the amp all halfway up?

U can do both if u want. U can prolly get some sweet sounds also. Just know that running the EQ in front of the amp might push your preamp depending on how u are EQing.

The EQ on the amp will shape the overall tone better IMO.

I personally like running my 10 band EQ thru the loop of my amps

I'm not sure that I can plug the Boss ME 70 into the effects loop of my Blackstar HT-5R. The only output jacks on the ME-70 are left (mono) and right to guitar amp, line out/phones.

As long as u have an In and Out in your pedal u should be graaaavy

Depending on the overall tone, you may find it necessary to tweak the amp's EQ up or down.
