Equalizer Pedals??

OK I know what an equalizer does, I've never actually used an equilizer pedal though.....What exactly do they do and how do they work, and are they really worth buying?? ?? do they need to go in a certain place in the "chain"??

An EQ boosts and cuts specific frequencies to shape your tone, like the tone controls on your amp, but to a greater degree.

Works best in your FX loop. You can use it to fine tune you tone , Or as
a booster for lead work.
