that is my source the solder joints are very good but the bridge pickup is so weak could this be the .1uf cap working against me here?

Did you put a Seymour Duncan pickup in the bridge? If so, it may be out of phase with the fender pickups. Reverse the black and green wires on the duncan.
If not, I have no idea.
