So i was tossing and turning about buying this Axis for two days now (i've had an itch for one for years to be honest) when i decided to leave it all in one persons hands and ask Erik what he thought. granted i know damn well Erik is a EVH fan and a fan of the EBMM EVH and Axis guitars so i knew what his answer would be....but it's still nice to blame him for making me spend the money anyway LOL.
i just bought it 5 minutes ago and it ships to me Monday from NJ so it should get here to NY quick then i can give a review and take better pics. for now join me in drooling over the sellers pics of this beauty...
now i have to sell a guitar or two so i don't feel bad about buying a new one LOL. so check the trading post when i decide what has to go to make room for the Axis.

Erik would know!!!! man i have been thinking of getting one of those someday soon as well... I may sell some stuff this summer to get one.. but i'll try and save as much cash before i do sell something...

devastone: thanks man...but 9s??? for love of God NO WAY this puppy is getting my usual custom gauge of 10,13,17,28,38,49. i can't play thin strings like 9s guitars just feel like buzz boxes to me with those kid size strings lol. i even have my 5yr old nephew playing 10s already LOL.
GJ: thanks bro! this trans orange flame was just damn sexy and i had to have it. i've always wanted an axis but never found the right one 'til i saw this one. if i dig it i may pick up a solid gloss black one down the road since i always liked them in black..nice clean and simple.
tone and daemon: thanks for the kind words on all my guitars. since i built half of them and didn't just buy cool ones that means a lot!
Jackson: thanks man...i haven't seen many in trans orange either. plus flame tops in general seem to be much less common and i MUCH rather have the flame over a quilt. keep in mind we also have a large gun collection at the house so getting out with the guitars will be real tricky without a few extra holes in you LOL.
whofan: i've always wanted on of these and have played quite a few....even had my hands on a few owned and played on tour by EVH himself when this was the EVH model. there just aren't many better made guitars out there IMO. these are in the top class of quality IMO and that's the only reason i considered buying one so i say go for it!!
