Ernie ball m-steel strings

Who has tried them? I picked some up a few days ago to try. So far I am undecided the hold tune very well and sound good. But they are pretty rough on my fingers. I usually use ghs or dean markley 11-52 tuned down half a step. Never had any problems with fatigue in my fingers but these in 10-46 are painful for some reason.

I've used a couple sets, I agree that they're tough to get used to and are somewhat painful to play with. I've found that after using a few sets (I'm only talking two or three here) you get used to them, and I like the little extra punch they seem to add to the sound. I also like the strings being a bit rougher, I find that's more to my liking than regular strings

Painful eh? Do they make them in bass gauges? I like strings that hurt a bit. At least then my fretting hand will feel the same as my picking hand.

I don't actually know about the bass strings. I can't find any online, but im sure they making something close. The strings are just coated differently and you can feel the difference clear as day
