I use D'addario 12's.
I tried a pack of Ernie Balls once. They sounded a bit warmer, felt much looser, and broke very quickly.

D'Addario 11's and 10's.
Anything more expensive, I refuse to buy.
Ernie Balls are brighter when new, then go dead quicker.
Everytime I've tried GHS, I've snapped strings. Never again.

Cool, another SIT fan. I think I'm switching back to them for my more regular tuned guitars.

i use ebs on my electric and daddario on my acoustic. But bascailly i found ernieball acoustics dont cut it very well they corrode fast. As for electrics i havent really tried out any daddario imight try next time, but both are really good brands. i do however like the fact that daddario are a little mroe enviromentally friendsly whihc is cool.

It might sound strange, but I have an urge to try some Ernie ball 13's. D'addarios feel stiffer and harsher - I like how they fight back more. So maybe I'll like Ernie Ball 58-13's since I use D'addario 12's.

D'Addarrio 10-46 for me,... I tried EB's a long time ago, as well as some other brands, I always keep going back to my trusty D'Addarrios...they just seem to feel the best to me... or maybe I'm just stuck in my ways because I've played the D's for over 10 years, and I just can't except change

That's an excellent point.
It's all a matter of personal preference. I've been using EB Classic Slinkys (10's) for years, but I'll give D'Addario a try. I used to used Fender Rock 'n Roll 150's back in the day, but I find the new Fender strings don't last long at all. The EB's hold up real well.

I use GHS on my lapsteels. They really do make all of thier own strings and I think GHS makes strings for alot of other brands too.
Alot of you guys are probably using GHS strings and don't know it!

Whatever is on sale! Seriously, I have tried every brand and really could care less. I find some may last a little longer but I don't keep logs on how many hours I spend on each set of strings. If all were priced the same I'd buy GHB Boomers 9-42 but if the Super Slinkys are on sale that week I'd go with them... I have been wanting to try those Black Diamond strings but haven't been able to find them anywhere.

i use strictly la bella 12s and 13s. theyre cheaper than west 12th street ***** in ny and come with extra high e's and b's. i tune the 12s to standard and the 13s to Eb. and its funny because ive never broken one! try them guys!
