The newer Tokais (MIJ, not M Someplace Else) are pretty fantastic, too.

Edwards are excellent guitars. I have owned the John Sykes model, beautiful guitar, best setup ever seen out of the box. I currently have 2 Edwards LPs, an E-LP-125ALS off ebay from Yasooh in Japan, and a Pure Material model bought used in US, both are full nitro finish, non-relic'ed.

The 125/ALS(on the right in pic) has a thinner 60s neck like a Traditional 1960 with a very nice veneer top/maple cap underneath, and all high-spec parts. Here's a link to one on ebay: ESP EDWARDS E-LP-125/ALS.

The Pure Material(on the left in pic) is a little harder to find as only 31 were made, but its a clone of an R9 Gibson, from the figured top to the '59 roundback neck. I've A/B'ed it against a couple of R9's at SA and blindfolded you wouldn't be able tell the difference, except for the pickups (Seth Lovers vs Burstbuckers). You can still find them on Japan auction sites occasionally.

Since you have an Eclipse, you probably like thinner necks. I've played 5 Edwards, and except for the PM, they all had thinner neck profiles, like a '60s.

I believe folks that say Gibson LPs are better guitars than Edwards most likely haven't even played an Edwards. Both of these guitars set up and play better than any Gibsons I have owned or played.
Also, the Orville by Gibson Les Pauls usually available on ebay are a great option, too.
