Re: esquire hotrod schematic
Ok, see if this makes sense. The first one is in schematic form, the second is more of diagram form. They're both the same electrically. See the notes at the end.
Notes:
1. The "blue" terminals are all shorted together. It doesn't matter what order you connect the wires.
2. The "red" line from the pup refers to the red/white combo. Connect both.
3. For standard Esquire wiring, both caps are .05uf and the resistor is 3.3k (3300 ohms) A .047uf is more common but feel free to use any value you want for the one on the tone control. A .022uf will preserve more midrange when rolled off. A .033uf is a nice compromise.
