I just read on this web page that the early Esquire
had a hole in place of the neck pickup under the pickguard.
I thought the whole point of having only one pickup was to have
more wood, thus better resonance?!?!?!?
Does anybody know about this? If true, is it still the case with
the new one from Fender. I was really diging for an esquire, but if
it's just a tele with an omitted puckup... What's the point? :thumbsdow
I'd rather go for a standard tele!
