EU Trade feeler: My nickle-covered JB for your nickle-covered '59b/Custom/Custom5

I'm beginning to doubt if I can hold on to the JB in my Epi Korina V - too hot, it seems. Have a '59 in the neck and would like to try the full '59 set, or, alternatively, one of the more moderate PAF-style bridge units, the Custom or the Custom5.

But here's the kicker: You have to be in the EU, and the pickup has to be nickle-covered, can't abide by the open-coil look.

Would you be up for grabs? Brand-new JB coming your way if you have a nickle-covered -59 or custom/custom5 to trade for it - in the EU :)

Best Regards!

Is yours regular-spaced or trem-spaced?

I'm pretty sure I have a trem-spaced and nickel-covered C5, though it may be a CC. In the interests of openness, I've swapped the magnet in this one a couple of times, though it's in fine condition and works perfectly. It's stored in my parents' house, so it'll be a couple of days before I can pick it up. If you're still interested, PM me in a day or two and I'll check it out for you.

Thank you! However, as my guitar - an Epi korina V - is not trem-spaced, I'm going to pass on your offer. Anyone else, have a nickel-covered '59, C5, or, indeed, maybe a '59/custom hybrid that you want to swap for a JB?

IMO, if a JB is "too hot" then a Custom is equally likely to disappoint on that score.

Absokutely cool if you don't want to go for it, but I've actually found trem-spaced pups to line up very well with TOM bridges. Even if you don't deal with me, don't discount them. As long as the pup fits, there'll be no negative effects on the sound of the guitar.

The only reason I need a regular spaced one is because the guitar I would put it in has a slanted bridge pup, so a trem-spaced one won't fit in the scratchplate without modification.

Good luck on your search. :)

Thank you! I'm currently on holiday on a remote island where internet access is very scarce. I think i'll pass on the CC/C5, I'm leaning more and more towards a '59b, pure and simple. But thank you again, and maybe we'll deal some in the future. :) Let me know if you need that JB down the line, for now, I'll probably just get the '59 and put the JB in storage - when I come back home, that is.
