How about a 9.5K or 10K stock version of the alnico 2 Antiquity Texas Hot Custom bridge pickup that will be in phase with with SSL-1's, APS-1's etc.?

Currently there are no 10K alnico 2 Strat bridge pickups in the SD catalog and this pickup is one of my favorite Duncan single coils.

Closest would be the Twangbanger but it's a little HOT to get perfect m & b combined tones.

Thanks, Lew

I agree completely. I'd get one in a flat version for my bridge.

On another note I think a 10k A2 humbucker should be in the works as well. That's what I'm wanting to get wound!

Yeah, but could you shred with it?

If you were in the market for that pickup, would likely be inclined to shred? :laugh2:

How about foregoing tradition and making the polarity/wind direction the same on ALL Duncan pickups. Nothing's more frustrating than wiring up a guitar and realizing two Duncans don't jive together.......pull the guitar apart again, solder the black/silver, and green as hot.....headache. One time I bought an old set of Duncan single coils and realized the middle WASN'T rw/rp......why would a strat set EVER come like that?

GJ....Get yourself a magnet/polarity tester from www.stewmac.com
It doesn't solve your electrical problems, but it does solve magnet polarity issues.

Are you saying that folks who go for the lower output pups don't shred?

I mean think about it, that's the same DC resistance as the screaming demon, and that's its forte.

cause if i understand right the first strat pickups were not reverse wound in the middle. they only had a three position switch too.

As of '74 Fender was still fitting Strats with three identical 6K pickups. I don't when they started using the RW/RP middle but it was still a few years off in 1974.
