My suggestion for a new SD pickup set

I see my wallet taking a hit in the near future. (But I think I already have the PATB-3.)

I also did it with a patb1/2 hybrid alnico 8, but I'm a bit done with the a8 hype train. I like that pickup now way more with just a plain 'ol alnicoV. Mids aren't as thick, and heavy mids tire me very fast nowadays.

my problem with the parallel axis stack is how dang tall it is. It doesn't fit in any of my guitars so it's just sits on the shelf waiting

i've tried my PA Stack in one fender, a Warmoth (720 mod) body, and two Ibanez with no luck. the Hot Stack Strat (which is also taller than a normal single coil), however, seems to fit just about anywhere. the PA is just, like, 1/8" taller, maybe even a 1/4". it's cray

the pa stack is very tall, ive had to rout things deeper to get it installed. cool pup for sure though

its construction is unique in the duncan line for sure, no other stack has a baseplate like this im aware of

Can someone, who has one, identify what these two protrusions on the bottom are? (Red arrows)

Three of those would be sweet in my Peavey T-30, which already has "square-ish" singles. But those Peavey "ferrite" pickups sound great as is. Just not noise-cancelling. It's one of my few guitars I don't want to mod.

I was gonna come in here and say - just no.

Then I was gonna say Custom Shop

But now I say "Thank you!"

I have had a guitar in my mind, and I have always wanted PATB. This thread has helped me realize that the two go together like peanut butter and chocolate!
