I went to a full scooped Strat set in the 95 Washburn USA Silverado I have. Haven't seen much on these so thought I would drop a review.
I have a Surfer II set in my other Silverado so waned this one to be a more modern smoother fatter tone but still have the character of a real strat.
Considered the Antiquities Texas hots and have had a set before but in the end tried the scooped set. Really like these in this guitar for a great bluesy tone and a guitar that is not as much a dramatic tonal difference coming directly from a guitar with humbuckers on a swap on stage.
Really nice smooth tones with this set, but it still sounds like a strat, and they will stay in this guitar. The neck and middle would be fantastic in a super Strat with a humbucker in the bridge and I may drop a set of these in my 95 MG 120 with the JB in the bridge.
