Scooped Strat set review.

I went to a full scooped Strat set in the 95 Washburn USA Silverado I have. Haven't seen much on these so thought I would drop a review.
I have a Surfer II set in my other Silverado so waned this one to be a more modern smoother fatter tone but still have the character of a real strat.
Considered the Antiquities Texas hots and have had a set before but in the end tried the scooped set. Really like these in this guitar for a great bluesy tone and a guitar that is not as much a dramatic tonal difference coming directly from a guitar with humbuckers on a swap on stage.
Really nice smooth tones with this set, but it still sounds like a strat, and they will stay in this guitar. The neck and middle would be fantastic in a super Strat with a humbucker in the bridge and I may drop a set of these in my 95 MG 120 with the JB in the bridge.

Is the Scooped Set noticeably hotter than the Surfers? I love the Surfers, but never tried the Scooped.
Different definitely fuller bigger sounding and smoother. More suited to Texas Blues and rock tones and to my ear they feel a little hotter. The bridge in particular is nice. They work very well in the maple neck real swamp ash body Silverado. Not as airy and chimy as the surfer II set certainly more a modern fat Strat tone. The work very well so far for what I am doing. I took a chance on them as there aren't many clips out and so far I really like them. Will likely keep both and run the Sunburst 95 with the Surfers when I need chimy traditional tones and Blue 95 with the Scooped set for more aggressive blues based and ruck stuff.

Sounds like I definitely need to try them!
