Evan: SFX03 Question

Re: Evan: SFX03 Question

So far, I really like it. I think Artie was correct about "tube-break-in" time, though.

Re: Evan: SFX03 Question

Stick a transformer inside an effect box, & you run the risk of increasing buzz & noise, especially for a tube powered box. Not as much room in there as in an amp.

Re: Evan: SFX03 Question

Once again, we're NOT asking for the transformer to be IN THE PEDAL. We're asking why not make an "in-line" transformer with a standard plug. Like on the L6 PODs. I tried to find a visual, with no luck. Picture this:

Pedal-->wire-->transformer-->wire-->plug-->receptacle.

Re: Evan: SFX03 Question

How much more would you be willing to pay for an upgraded transformer? An extra $10? $15? $20? Where's the "pain point?"

Re: Evan: SFX03 Question

How much more does it really cost? Just curious.

With a retail price of $300, a few $$$ more probably wouldn't matter. Now, if it became $50 more, there would be a problem.

Some of us are limited in available outlets. The wart takes away another plug on the strip.

Once again, please understand that I think the product is AMAZING! I'm just wondering if a minor change could lead to a dramatic improvement in usability.
