Evans (brand) pickups??

anyone ever use or hear anything about Evans pickups?

i just bought a guitar that has a set of them in it and i have never heard of them before and just wanted to see what others have heard or tried.

Don't know much about them but what I have heard about them has been that they are very good. Who's the great blind guitar player who plays with the guitar in his lap? Jeff Healey! I think he uses them. Lew

nope i don't think there is any relation b/t the D'Addario owned company and the pickups.

no i didn't even think to since i honestly never take them seriously. however all i have heard have been good things and after looking at the prices, well, they better be good lol. at least i got them for free (sort of) in this new guitar.

I have been wanting to try a set for a while but they rarey pop up used. Are you gonna keep them? Is it a S/S/S set or H/S/S, or???

If you'd like to unload them drop me a PM...I have more pickups here than I know what to do with but I might be interested.

TGWIF: i am going to give them a try when the guitar gets here. the previous owner was raving about them. so i'll see what i think before i decide to sell them. as for the pickup config...it's a hot single in the neck and a lead bucker in the bridge.

I dropped one of their humbuckers in an old Ibanez Artist Series Strat years ago... It's still in there... I just noticed too that they don't make it anymore...
