Nice. The screw pole pieces of the JB look a bit high to me. Did you adjust them to be that way? I like mine more flush, like how your Jazz is set up, maybe just a 1/4 turn higher on the bass side, if that.

Black SGs look sweet with zebras! Cream and black go so well together. I don't think I'll ever have anything but covers on my ebony Standard though.

i did mess with the pole pieces a bit on the JB. the strings come down at an angle from the bridge, so with the pole pieces set flat, the white part of the bobbin is further from the strings than the black part of the bobbin. although the entire pickup is still set somewhat low. but the pole pieces on the jazz are just how they were when it came out of the box :laugh2:

i like the look of it more and more every time i see it..the zebra colors go perfectly with the binding on the neck, and with the cover on the toggle switch. it has a very complete look and sound to it.

Man, these pics make me miss my SG. It was similar to big_black's above but it was cherry color, and had one P-100. The pickguard looked similar but not exact, I don't think anyway. It looked just like the one Jake E. Lee played in the "Shot in the Dark" video, only cherry. Freakin' awesome guitar. I just didn't like the neck-heaviness of it.

It makes sense what you're doing with the pole pieces. I forgot about that angle. Shouldn't have though because all guitars with that style bridge/tailpiece will have it. Too bad it has the pickguard instead of pickup rings. Then the bridge ring could be angled like on a LP.

i really wish it had the pickup rings too. it definitely sucks swapping pickups on an SG with the full sized pickguard like mine. the pickguard doesn't come off unless the bridge and the thumbscrews for it come off, and there goes your whole setup

I personally feel that zebra pickups look great in about 90% of all guitars. Nice guitars fellas!!
